REGIONAL PLANNING

CCPG - Lamar - Front Range Project

The Lamar-Front Range Transmission Project (LFR) is a multi-faceted, multi-value transmission plan designed to bolster the high-voltage transmission network in eastern Colorado.

Studies indicate the LFR Project will facilitate the delivery of new renewable and other low-cost generation to load centers, improve transmission system reliability, and increase the operational flexibility of both transmission and generation assets.

In addition, the LFR Project is consistent with the long-range vision for coordinated transmission development in Colorado and would complement other potential plans for transmission development in the region.
